Umbrella

For "Umbrella," FBL wanted to create the impression of a highway traffic jam, in the rain, at rush hour. But during filming, the day was clear, and the spot was filmed in a parking lot. The crew lined up many cars in order to create the impression of a highway. As in "Taxi," a rain truck with gigantic sprinklers was used to create the rain.

But this was a lot of work to do in only one day. As time went on, the camera crew only had fifteen minutes of daylight left, and still had not been able to shoot anything! When the light runs out, so does the opportunity to shoot, because it is extremely difficult to light a scene at nighttime so that it looks like day. The FBL crew only had time for two shots: one long shot, and one close-up. Fortunately, these two shots turned out to be just right.

One day i was at the store with my brother and we're buying some snacks and didn't have enough. The person behind us told the clerk she would pay for us. That was really kind.

I thought this story was really cool. I always wondered how they recreated rain movies.

Caring is being unselfish

Awesome

Morgan from The world, September 14, 2016

Really really love this one, the spontaneous act is so generous and the driving away without any need for compliment heightens the beauty of the caring.

You go! We need these commercials on all major networks. I was babysitting the other day and the children were watching a show on TBN. The "Classroom" commercial came on and they just sat their in "AWE"! I said to them, that is really cool and they said, "Yeah it is"! These children don't have anyone teaching them the right things but they heard and saw that message. I don't think they will ever forget it! Thank you!

Sometimes, it's the brief, little things that make big changes in people's lives.

How utterly cool! Thank you for producing these incredible video shorts. I will be recommending them to teachers and parents as conversation starters.

Great message here. It's awfully easy to give ourselves permission to do nothing if we can't solve an entire problem, but doing what we can is often enough to make a huge difference. I am going to link to this spot as part of an upcoming article on my blog, www.bestihave.com.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Finally there is a source for GOOD things to think about, rather than all the bad we're flooded with.

That person made the guys day he looked happy even though his car stopped working.

You never know how much a compliment, smile, nod, or just a wink in the right manner weighs. Or, hmmm, an umbrella! Just be nice and treat others the way you would like to be treated. I really liked this one. Carefree!

Jacqueline C from Memphis, TN, October 20, 2008

I have been inspired by this spot. It reminds me that although I may not be able to completely meet someone's need...if I can, I should meet as much of it as possible.

April L. from Indiana, January 27, 2008

I thought this one was neat.
