To learn more about how Zac Brown is saying 'Thank You' to our veterans please visit CampSouthernGround.org.
Sacrifice is a word some pay a great price to understand. Our veterans and their families are among those who have paid that price. This PSA entitled “Veteran” offers an example of how each of us can show our continued support to those who have served our country by simply saying... “Thank you and welcome home.”
Zac Brown’s poignant lines from his hit song, “Chicken Fried” underscores this message: “I thank God for my life, and for the stars and stripes... The ones that give their lives so we don't have to sacrifice.”
Thank You... For Your Service. Pass It On.
[Lyrics]
I think God for my life
And for the stars and stripes
May freedom forever fly, let it ring
Salute the ones who died
The ones that give their lives so we don't have to sacrifice
All the things we love
Like our chicken fried
[Veteran] "Thanks."
[Host] "No, Thank You. And welcome home."

A real heartfelt statement of Thanks for all our veterans ... those who made it home, those who have given of their hearts and honor and even their bodies and minds ... and for every life touched by injury and loss. Please do pass it on, thank a vet for the service they chose, the Oath they all took, and the honor with which they discharged that Vow, even in the face of death. We do owe Freedom and our own lives to that honor and it must be acknowledged with all our hearts.

Kyle avery from Ilion ny , February 18, 2021
I have viewed this touching Ad several times and each time I see and feel something more emotional and painful then the previous time. There is so much more being said in the sadness of the veterans’ eyes than a "Thank you for your service" can help heal. I appreciate the major sacrifice that all the wounded warriors have made and are continually making. This Veteran is blessed as he came back, maybe not as he went in, but certainly his sacrifice is surely appreciated. So thank you wounded warrior with the sad eyes. I would really like to contact this Veteran and thank him personally. Watching him in this PSA really makes my heart swell with pride and pain.
Pamela A. Whitefogg from Anchorage, Alaska, February 17, 2021

I am a Veteran but still can't say thank you enough for the Veterans who served before, alongside and to this day still serve, I hope they all make it back home but also an overwhelming thank you to the families who have paid and are paying the ultimate sacrifice, #22aday. Very Respectfully,
Ashlee R. Allen from OK, February 8, 2021
As someone who lived through and had family members who experienced first hand the kind of "thank you's" given to vets returning from Vietnam 50 years ago, these actions are much more what we should be doing to show appreciation to our vets. Many thanks to all our service men and women, past and present. And many thanks to PassItOn for such poignant messages like this. We all can use and need more their kind of messages!
Mike Hoppe from WF, NC, February 6, 2021

I am not ashamed to say this PSA for Veterans brought tears to my eyes. As a Veteran, I remember when people did not acknowledge us, even on Veterans Day. A beautiful example of what should be “passed on.” Proud to be a Veteran, a daughter of a Veteran and having a family who supported this country for many generations.

This was such a touching video and so refreshing to see after a year of being bombarded with political ads, Americans attacking one another, and our very own system that keeps us free. It is due to the bravery and sacrifices of every Soldier, Sailor, Airmen, Marine, Coast Guard (homeland Security), Law Enforcement Officer, Firefighter, Medic (EMS), and Medical/Healthcare Staff that we are the Freest, Safe, Secure & Blessed nation on this planet. They fight to preserve the very Constitution that keeps us free. Tell Them "Thank You" when you see them. Thank You, Brothers & Sisters! HOOAH!

I am a vet. I have heartfelt thanks for all those today who have also stepped forward, to take their place in the long line of men and women who defend this great nation. It requires the service and sacrifice of many, from each generation, to refresh the life of the tree of liberty and freedom, for all those who will follow. Thank you, to all, for all that you do. I hope that it may be sustained forever, so that our sons and daughters can continue to enjoy what was passed forward to us.
Ken Davis from Colorado Springs, Colorado, October 10, 2020
I feel grateful and very happy that these people risked their lives for America. although sadly some people don't care, many do care. I don't know anyone close to me in the army but I do thank those who were. I think this video is telling people to be thankful for the life you have that you live.
