Dear Ann, I am touched by your comments as they reflect some of my own experiences. I don't think I have succeeded much in this area of friendship and I too am 60 years old this year. I think my deficit in making friends may have developed from a lack of trust in others and a feeling of not being worthy of their love. I have been limited by these internal pieces of my mind and heart all my life. I would like to develop close friends and have had opportunities but I have been unable to let my guard down and share myself with others. I am wondering if you have any thoughts on this matter? Or give any advice.

I will be 60 yrs old in june of 2014 and I don't have any friends I know that I am a very nice person I talk to peoples I got to church with peoples but I don't have any close friends and I would so much like to have some a friend that I could keep in touch with after the death of my husband five yrs ago my life in 24 hours of blank.but I want give up I know I one day I will have a good friend. on my 60th birthday I will celebrate it alone.

A friend is loyal, trust worthy, caring, loving and ect,.... I have a friend who can cheer me up when i'm down, she also cares, she will ask whats wrong, and to me thats a friend.
