This is the story of my youngest son, Glen, who is no longer with us. He passed away almost seven years ago and would have been almost 20 years old had he lived. He was a boy filled with belief for anyone and everyone. He couldn't find bad in anyone, he only saw the good. I learned many things from him, and after he passed on, found myself feeling ashamed of how I thought. When I put myself in his position, I realized he wouldn't see the things I did. I learned how to value life, and live each day as if it were my last. I learned how to forgive and forget. Although it is not easy, I am still trying. He is in my every action and thought. I know he is somewhere doing something better and bigger. The whole town loved him; and the secondary and primary schools attended his funeral. Each student had a memory of him and had lots of nice things to say about him. When I go, I can never hope to have anyone say such things about me. He was selfless, kind, loving and so forgiving.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
