Chrystal had a really tough childhood. From being hungry to abuse, she held onto her hopes and dreams from a young age. When she was eight she decided she was meant to help people. At the age of sixteen she was doing more volunteer work than anything else. When she was seventeen she even represented California at meetings at the United Nations and was the leader of the state for a Humanitarian Aid group. She's involved in numerous Human and Animal rights acts. She's won awards for helping many Children's homes in places like Gilroy California and Cambodia. In 2009 she's leaving her home country and her family and friends to live in Russia, where she doesn't know the language or the people, to work at an orphanage. She's dedicated her life to helping other people and always puts other people first. She always says, "It's by luck that I was born where I am. I'm not any higher than anyone else or more deserving of a good life than anyone else and I want to help people that can't speak for themselves." She's a loyal friend and a caring family member. She's given hope to the hopeless. She's my greatest hero.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
