Many years ago my Father became quite ill. He was way too young and giving a person to leave us before his time. The ways in which he gave of himself are many. Father, Uncle, Teacher, Trainer of disabled and those who had barriers to employment. In hindsight, I realize it was his time. Caring for him during his journeys from one hospital to another was my first of the greatest gifts in my life.
Next came my Mother, widowed way too early who worked so very hard to support all of us, and others, while carrying on this Great Man's Mission.
Once again I find myself "caring" or rather "caregiving" for a dear friend.
I am put off a bit when others say to me how hard my life is. It isn't. A hard life would be one where you only care for oneself, and at the end have an empty heart.
I wouldn't change a thing I have done in giving up Time or Money. My gift in caring for others is not a tangible asset, but a feeling one cannot describe unless you have been there yourself.
Who in your life needs a shoulder to lean on or help today? Are you only able to do this with monetary compensation or can you see the GIFT of caring as it envelops your heart and soul. No regrets.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
