This story was shared with our staff the day before the Christmas holiday by our elementary school's health tech.
It seems that one of our little 1st grade girls rides the bus every day with a 5th grade autistic boy. She had been comforting him because he was upset that he was not receiving an award for the first semester. The next day, the little girl presented him with a small bag of candy and a certificate that she made herself, telling him that he was getting an award for being kind and a great friend.
I wish I could have seen his face...and given her a hug...

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
