Janice R

My mother had a really bad accident when I was about six years old. She couldn't stop her bike and ran into a car. For that summer she had a body cast. She would take care of me the best she could. She broke her right ankle so bad that the doctors thought that she would never walk again. But with the help of my father she is now up and walking again. The courage that it took to beat the odds has made my mother my hero.

I am so happy I came across this site! I am the eldest of my family and migrated to Canada, so I always feel so lonely but with these few words I can now say I can stand on my feet. My parents are my biggest supporters hence, my father also encourage and guide me in the right path. No matter where I go, my parents are waiting for me, what I do they always support me. I love them to the Dearest.

The work done by these stories is so helpful for a person like me who has to go through a lot of tension in a day and life is looking like a mess of too many things which you don't want to do. After reading these, I feel happy for everything which I do.

It's great to be home and be with the parents. I too remember my father who was a real source of inspiration to me. Thanks for your story which brought tears of gratitude in my eyes. Parents are precious. We must take care of them in their old age.

Melissa D. from Louisiana, USA AUGUST 23, 2007
Your story choked me up, as I remembered my Dad who passed away from Cancer in 1995. I gave him problems in my younger years, but turned myself around. We had a bond that was unbreakable and no matter what I could ever do my Dad was always there. Treasure every minute with your dad, and know that you are so blessed to have him. Thank you for sharing your story.

I guess it's true that in whatever mess we get ourselves into, it will always be our family who will be there in the end to help us clean up our mess so that we can have another fresh start...

I wish I had a father like that.

SDevi Potturu from Bangalore, India APRIL 27, 2007
It looks like a small thing, but is not. We should be grateful to our parents for whatever they have done to us. We do not realize their importance till we miss them.

Tracey M from New Jersey APRIL 2, 2007
What a beautiful story. People need to be reminded sometimes of the love their parents feel for them.

Amanta Sankumar from Guyana MARCH 30, 2007
I second you on that. You're parents love is greatest, so people cherish your parents.
