I had the privilege of witnessing an experience I will always remember. It occurred in the busy parking lot of a grocery store. An elderly woman was struggling to maneuver her grocery cart and unload it. A young man walking by stopped, turned around, and returned to the side of the woman. He asked if he could help her and lifted the groceries into her trunk (a very easy task for him). She smiled, thanked him, squeezed his arm and got into her car. As the boy pushed the cart back to the store, an older gentleman approached the boy and said "Young man, I have been watching you, and I saw what you did for that old woman. Several people walked past without giving her the slightest thought." He then pulled a five dollar bill from his wallet and said "We need more young people like you," then insisted the young man accept it, though the boy objected. When the boy continued to the store, he placed the five dollar bill in the bucket of a Salvation Army collector.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
