I work with developmentally disabled adults in a residential setting. One of the men wanted to go to a restaurant for his birthday with a few of his friends and housemates. We were all having a great time, eating and joking and just having fun. When I went to pay the bill (which was about $300) the wait staff told me it was taken care of tip and all! The people that I work with have very limited funds and for us to even go out for dinner is almost a hardship for them. The man that paid for the dinner told the restaurant staff that it was very nice of us to take them out and it was good to see them having a great time. I would like to thank that man who paid for dinner and it touched all of the group home staff in a great way. Thank you for all that care.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
