Miss James is my hero because she encourages me to try new thing. She was the person who encouraged me to join FFA and changed my life for ever. I never pictured myself being a chapter officer, let alone running for chapter President next year. She encouraged me to try a speaking contest my Freshman year and from that day on I watched my public speaking skills skyrocket. When sophomore year came along and I was starting my career as a chapter officer she told me that I should attend National Convention as well as Halftime Conference. I did, and because of that I made new friends and memories that will last a lifetime. She’s also the first person who took me to Red Robin and recommended I try the “Whiskey River BBQ Burger” which has now become my favorite food. Now my high school career is nearing the end and there is one last conference she wants me to attend. Miss James has also put in long hours helping me complete numerous applications and help me plan events throughout the school year. After graduation I’m debating on running for a state officer position and she is super excited to help me become the first person ever to apply from Southern Door. I plan on attending college to one day become an Agricultural teacher. She doesn't know this, but I look up to her and everything she does for me. She is my role model and I hope to be just like her one day!
