I am my own hero. I know what I have overcome and use that to inspire other people. In 2008 I lost my soul mate n husband of 9 yrs n father of my two daughters to suicide. I was also diagnosed as Bipolar 1 in 2003 and spent 3 1/2 yrs seriously depressed and borderline suicidal as well. In 2011 I started intense trauma therapy (by choice) and then a few months later I joined a direct sales company in hopes to better my life financially for myself and my daughters. Since then I have learned to see my own accomplishments in baby steps, have learned the difference between a manager and a leader and have chosen to become a leader by example. I use my story of fear, loss, depression and worthlessness to inspire each person I meet in hopes that they will not give up. I strive daily to use my pain and struggles as a single mother, a widow and a woman to inspire others to find a way to live a life by design n not by default. There are still many days that I grieve, but it no longer consumes me and for each person who tells me that I have given them some form of hope either in life or in depression my passion for helping others grows

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
