Q Madp is a true Patriot. He feels is it vital that the memories of all the fallen soldiers from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars not be lost.
To this end, Q began traveling to funerals, with permission of the families, to document the final services for the fallen.
He has done this basically on his own dime, relying on support through donations and from some odd jobs he does. To date, his website documents over 6,900 fallen service members. He has personally attended countless services, all over the west coast.
His dedication to this cause is unparalleled. As he says on his website, he might be able to retire in "34 years". He leads a very simple life due to his pursuit of this goal, he drives his personal life secondary to his efforts in documenting the fallen.
As a member of the Patriot Guard Riders, I have seen Q in action many, many times. His attention is always on the Family of the Fallen, documenting the time for them, with respect and dignity. It is never about personal enrichment.
In an era that sees honor given to pop stars and movie stars, Q defines selflessness, dedication, and commitment.
Q deserves the recognition of being a hero himself, an everyday hero. He is to me
