My hero is my brother David. He is my hero because during high school he was able to overcome much adversity. He had friends whom he thought were his friends, but would make fun of him to the point where he did not feel welcome anymore. At this time I was going to youth group at our church and he wasn't so I would always invite him to come with me. He thought he was too cool so he didn't want to come. Now, about 2 years later he is a youth group leader and has made great friends that he can trust and that have the same values as him. I am honored to call him my hero because he didn't let his old friends stop him from coming back to the church where he now knows he really belongs surrounded by all his new caring and supportive friends.
