Pat is an unassuming, retired woman who has taken to helping those who live on the streets of Birmingham. Pat maintains a clothing closet at her church and spends weekends, shopping at garage sales and thrift stores for clothing that her homeless friends can use. Four days a week she can be found doing laundry for men and women who live on the street, understanding that people who are clean feel and are treated better. Pat has even foregone her regular appointments at the beauty salon to donate the money that would be spent on her hair to use it to help others who are often overlooked. Pat, in her own quiet way, restores dignity to those who have misplaced it and she makes her corner of the world a better place.

We've all had people in our lives who have made a positive impact on us. A parent or grandparent, a sibling who was there for us, or maybe even just a guy who shines shoes for a living? Whoever they are, tell us their story so they can inspire us even more.
